La mostra Sounds and Visions: Artists' Films and Videos from Europe. The Last Decade, tenutasi nel Museo d'Arte di Tel Aviv per celebrare i cento anni della città, in cooperazione con ventuno paesi europei, ha lo scopo di verificare lungo quali linee la potenziale sinergia tra suono e immagini in movimento si è recentemente sviluppata nel campo delle arti visive europee e le forme di rappresentazione creativa che ha creato.
La maturità e la complessità sviluppatesi attraverso il mezzo sono testimoniati dai lavori video in mostra, istallazioni su singoli canali e multi canali, proiezioni video, video tape su monitor e video sculture.

The exhibition Sounds and Visions: Artists' Films and Videos from Europe. The Last Decade, held at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art to celebrate the Hundred Years of the City of Tel Aviv, in cooperation with twenty-one European countries, aims at verifying along which lines the potential synergy between the sound and the moving images has recently developed in the field of European visual arts and the forms of creative representation it has created.
The maturity and complexity developed by the medium is witnessed by the video works on show in the exhibition space, single channel and multichannel installations, video projections, videos on monitor screens and video sculptures.
The catalogue offers a wide, variegated and up to date outlook on the European accomplishments in this field.
